Our Mission
Florida Music Service offers a full range of instrumental sheet music for schools, organizations, and individuals. We provide published music for all styles and musical genres. Our customers include numerous public and private schools (K-12), colleges, universities and religious organizations.
Our CD and text book department, formerly known as West Coast Music Service, has the most comprehensive listing of recorded wind music available. Our catalog contains over 1,500 recordings and over 100 books on band music.
We specialize in providing music that is graded by the Florida Bandmasters Association and the Florida Orchestra Association.
Company Profile
Mr. Ron Lagg has extensive experience as a businessman, musician and educator. Most recently, Mr. Lagg was the band director at Lakeland High School in Lakeland, Florida. He has also taught at Avon Park High School in Avon Park and Riverdale High School in Ft. Myers. Mr. Lagg's education includes a Bachelor in Music Education from Florida Southern College and a Bachelor of Business Administration from the Florida State University.
Florida Music Service was founded in 1964. From 1981 to 2002 the company was owned and operated by T. Edison and Charlotte D. James.
West Coast Music Service was founded in 1990 by band director Gaetano (Tommy) Ferlazzo in Ft. Myers, Florida and acquired by Florida Music Service in October of 2002.
